What players say...

"I was happy when the Steelheads signed me. I had heard only good things about the organization and I had that same experience. Growing up an avid skier as my second sport, it was a treat in-season to take a couple trips to nearby resorts when we had several short breaks with days off. So much to do outside in the region. To me, Boise is a special place to play hockey!"

Idaho Central Arena

Idaho Central Arena is where the Idaho Steelheads play their home games at. It's just over a 5k seat arena for hockey games and the rink is right in the heart of Boise. Along with hockey games, the multi-purpose arena hosts a number of other events ranging all the way from concerts to boxing.

Off The Ice in Boise, Idaho

Boise is the state capital of Idaho (aka the Gem State). Boise is the place to be if you love the outdoors. If you're into hiking and biking or winter sports in the winter, you're set. The Boise River goes right through the city and you have unreal views of the foothills from around town.

Interesting Facts

Boise has been known to be called the "City of Trees." With trees planted all around the city, there's no shortage of trees and greenery as you stroll around town. Legend has it, all these trees were planted by early settlers trekking out West way back in the day on the Oregon Trial. We're not here to debate this, but rather noting on it since the scenery has been beautiful each time we've been in Boise for a Steelheads game.
