What players say...

"What can I say about playing in the Zoo? When I moved down there from the Monsters (Cleveland), it was an easy transition. I played in Michigan quite a bit with growing up in Southern Ontario so my whole family was able to drive down for games. Our team unfortunately missed the playoffs by a few spots, but the energy there daily in my year there was motivating during that time for me. The Wings organization is run well."

Interesting Facts

Kalamazoo is the birthplace of Gibson Guitars and has a special piece of music equipment history due to this. If you're not sure what Gibson Guitars is, this might not be your cup of tea, but that's beside the point. Throughout a large chunk of the 1900's, Gibson Guitars was headquartered in the city and made some of the best guitars in the world that all the top musicians used. Whether you are a music enthusiast or not, it's worth checking out the Kalamazoo Valley Museum to learn about the city's unique musical legacy (and see some amazing instruments on show there while you're at it).
