What players say...

"Being from a small town in Western Canada, I had not spent much time in New England outside of a few short hockey tourneys when I was younger. The organization in Portland treated me well while I was in Maine. Mariner fans always came to cheer and it's an ideal hockey city with plenty to do even in the winter time outside the arena."

Cross Insurance Arena

The Mariners call Cross Insurance Arena home during the ECHL season. The arena seats 6,206 fans for ice hockey games. Prior to the Mariners playing here when the franchise moved here from Alaska, the arena was formerly home to the Portland Pirates when they played in the AHL (American Hockey League). Along with hockey games, a number of concerts and other sports events have been held here through the years.
