About The Team

Toledo has played in the ECHL since 1991. For the first 16 seasons (1991-2007), the club played as the Toledo Storm. After an ownership group change in 2007 and voluntary suspension due to a new rink being built, the club picked back up where it left off in 2009 as the Toledo Walleye which they've played under this name since.

What players say...

"Was a time playing hockey in Toledo. The intense Walleye fanbase gave you that extra boost of energy every night. Could tell the fans gave a lot to the team and you wanted to give the same back to them by performing on the ice and to give them a show. We had some talent on our roster and though we didn't take home the cup, winning a few titles was memorable for me."

Huntington Center

The Walleye call the Huntington Center home during the ECHL season. The multi-purpose venue holds just under 8,000 spectators for ice hockey games and the fan base certainly supports the team in town. With an average home game attendance of just under 8k fans, the Walleye have one of the best attendance bases in the whole ECHL. Based on our experience, this is hands down one of the best arenas to watch a game in this league. Home and opposing teams feed off the energy and fans.

0. The Toledo Walleye have come close over the years, but they are yet to win a Kelly Cup championship. The club has won a number of regular season, division, and conference titles, but they're still waiting to win the ECHL's most prized trophy.
