Off The Ice in Wichita, Kansas

Centered in the middle of the Great Plains, Wichita is a lively city with a healthy amount of stores, dining, museums and art galleries around town for both visitors and residents. The manufacturing sector (notably aircraft) has a strong tie to the region's economy in Wichita. The city gained it's nickname, the "Air Capital City" in the 1920's due to the sheer volume of aircraft production and companies based here. The nickname still holds to this day nearly 100 years later.
