About The Team

The Danville Dashers start play again in the FPHL for the 2024-2025 season. Hockey is not new to the city nor are the Dashers. Starting back in 2011 through to 2020, the Dashers had a team in the Fed. Following the Dashers stoppage of play in the league in 2020, the arena opted to let a completely new team (not associated with the Dashers) take the reins. This team, the Vermillion County Bobcats played in the SPHL from 2021 until mid season 2022-23 when the Bobcats stopped play due to poor financial stability. In late 2023, the arena board can to an agreement with Dashers ownership to bring the Dashers back as an official team into the FPHL. Hockey in Danville dates back even further to the 1980's with the original Danville Dashers.
