Newburgh is a small city located just 60 miles north of New York City in Orange County. Ideally situated on the Hudson River, there’s plenty to do around town ranging from waterfront dining to visiting the city’s numerous landmarks and museums.
There’s a number of interesting facts about Newburgh’s history, but one of the biggest is that during the American Revolution, the city was the primary headquarters for the Continental Army and the United States first president, George Washington, lived here for a period of time.
