What players say...

"I hadn't heard of Fraser, Michigan before I came to Motor City last year, but have nothing but positive things to say about my experience here. The city is essentially a suburb outside of Detroit. We didn't draw the biggest attendance or anything but I've met so many great people here from teammates to fans who've become friends for life."

Big Boy Arena

The Rockers home arena during the season is Big Boy Arena (what a name for an arena). Along with the minor league pro team, Big Boy Arena is to Michigan Athletic Training as well as numerous hockey teams and figure skating clubs in town. Motor City doesn’t draw the biggest fan attendance numbers in the FPHL, but the 1,000 or so fans that do attend home games in Fraser bring a nice energy and consistently support their players as they watch them perform on the ice.

0. The Rockers have yet to win an FPHL title in the league since joining.

Off The Ice in Fraser, Michigan

Away from the rink, Fraser is a small city with a population of just under 15,000 people and is a northern suburb of Detroit. Due to this close proximity to Detroit, there’s no issue finding things to do throughout the season. There’s several local museum, you could eat some of Detroits favorite foods (coney dogs) or even take in another pro sports game in town (Detroit Red Wings- NHL, Detroit Tigers- MLB, Detroit Pistons- NBA).

Interesting Facts

In the mid 1800’s, several railroad companies purchased the rights and connected the crossroads through what is today Fraser. A lawyer in Detroit named Alexander Frazer then moved here around this time and purchased land with hopes of building a community. Although he passed away soon after this period, the small village was later named after him. These small and humble beginnings over time morphed into the city it is many years later.
